Meller

(CDMX · MÉXICO · 2019)

(BRANDING & MERCH DESIGN)

Meller is a Mexico City-based coffee shop concept centered around a modern, coffee & matcha-loving character who brings fun into a minimalist, editorial world. Rue Haus led the creative direction—from brand identity to merch design—translating story, culture, and product into a bold, multi-sensory experience.

A fun, elevated coffee concept built around a character with taste.

ABOUT.

Meller was inspired by the ritual of slowing down—sipping a matcha or coffee on a sunny morning, sitting in a familiar chair in La Juárez, letting time breathe. The brand’s character, a serene yet cheeky bunny named Meller, embodies that moment. He’s playful but poised, and like the café itself, he invites you into a space that feels refreshing, design-forward, and intentionally effortless. The visuals strike a balance between editorial minimalism and joyful expression, pulling from classic café culture, Japanese matcha rituals, and nostalgic illustrations.

From logo and typography to a limited-edition merch drop (Sipin’ Sundays), every element was designed to create recognition, story, and community—without losing the fun. Meller isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s a mood, a lifestyle, and a visual system built for modern ritual.
